Welcome to our

a Journey of learning - Barriers to entry

Early printer systems and materials were built for general 3D printing not specific to jewellery
Available printer platforms required professional intervention to maintain the machine
Printers that were available for jewellery were very expensive to buy, and the return in investment could only be feasible if annual outputs were over 2,000 pieces*

*Assuming you sell a model at $20

The push was towards easier-to-use systems that were less expensive, allowing for more users to adopt the tech, and print speed became faster. This opened the way for resin-based printers.

This platform was the ultimate leveling of the playing field, resin-based printers were faster and allowed users to go from print to handle without fear that the models would break. During the early stages of the growth of this platform, there was one major drawback, the lack of good options for castable materials.
